Well this weekend was a bit of a washout. Where has the week gone! It’s Thursday already and i’ve only been to the gym once, although I am going tonight and Friday and with my fridge freezer deciding to break on Monday morning my meals have not been the best so far this week. Good news though in the 18 days i’ve been on the programme i’ve lost just over 5.5lbs, now i just need to keep it off and keep losing more!

I’m hoping the reason for me starting to eat more is due to the fact that my body needs more calories due to me exercising twice a day! Over the past 3 days i’ve noticed my daily intake of calories rise back up from 1500/1600, which i had planned to maintain whilst on the Motiv8 Activ8 programme, back up to nearly 1800. Not all of these are the so called “bad” calories...

Well most of the team had their Body MOT tests yesterday and for me it wasn’t as bad as I thought! Although I have more weight to lose than I first thought my fitness test and body fat percentage were better than I expected. The team have planned a “brisk” walk on Friday lunch with boxercise, kick-boxing and yoga sessions being planned for the coming weeks.

Well this morning has already produced its first challenge……a free bacon sandwich. But you will be pleased to read that I resisted and stuck to my organic strawberry yoghurt and ginger biscuit, 180 calories compared to the 340 calories of the bacon sandwich eaten by my collegue just a metre away from me!

The First Meeting!
The Motiv8 Activ8 team met for the first time today. The team consists of 5 females and 3 males from different areas of the College with a variety of ages and athletic abilities. We have all promised to go and have our health screening tests on Monday with Monday is the 1st day of the 8 week pilot programme.
